The judging panel was formed by leading influencers in the field of remote working and global team leadership as well as Remote’s senior leaders. In particular, the panel of judges positively valued how Payara backed its DE&I statements with key data on its industry-leading practices. The company, which applies a remote-first hiring policy that promotes workforce diversity, has organically grown its DE&I strategy to recruit the best talents, independently of their location. Currently, ethnic minorities represent 35% of Payara’s workforce, while the industry average is estimated at 25%. Similarly, 35% of the staff identifies as female, with 75% of senior leadership roles filled by women.
