Payara Services Seen from the Sky for Red Nose Day

Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, working towards the vision of a just world, free from poverty. Red Nose Day – a day of activities and events to raise money – is its most famous fundraising effort.

In aid of Red Nose Day 2021, Team Payara contributed to a fundraising project where the iconic ‘Red Nose’ logo was painted onto the rugby pitch local to our UK office.

Local line marking painters Fleet Line Markers partnered with Malvern Rugby Football Club to raise money for Comic Relief. The way they did this was painting a huge Red Nose logo on the 120m x 70m 1st XV Pitch at Malvern Rugby Club.

This was surrounded by 37 mini red noses marked with the names of sponsoring businesses.

We contributed to the great cause and saw our own company name join other businesses local to our UK office, in Malvern, Worcestershire. Here are some shots from the sky.

And if you got close, you could see that the Payara Fish logo was even included!

The feat took 5 Fleet Line Markers employees several days. The results were visually stunning and could be best seen from the air. Check out the drone footage here:

The money raised has reached over £3000. You can still donate and help reach the £5000 target:

Proceeds raised will go to the wide variety of causes supported by Comic Relief. The charity partners with organisations dedicated to eliminating poverty and improving lives, with this year focusing also on issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. This will see money raised go towards supporting those particularly affected,  for example charities that support older people, women facing raising rising levels of domestic abuse and communities experiencing racial inequality who are disproportionately affected by coronavirus.

Organisations that support frontline workers also receive funds.

Supporting this cause is in line with our wider commitment to giving back to important causes and the community, you can find out more about this in the ‘Giving Back’ section of our blog.

This year, this has also seen us pledge support to the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), a growing business network that raises awareness and provides resources for employers to identify and address domestic abuse among their workforce. We’ll also be announcing our annual Charity Partnership soon – watch this space.

In the meantime, donate to Comic Relief and help us in supporting its excellent work:
