GlassFish User Group Japan holds study meetings about GlassFish and Java EE a few times a year. Each event attracts around 50-80 GlassFish enthusiasts who get together to discuss the technologies and watch presentations delivered by the group members, talking about their studies and real-live experiences with Java EE and GlassFish.
The last Group meeting was held on the 16th of September in the Oracle Office (Oracle Japan provides rooms for the Java User Group meetings), attracting around 60 attendees. The agenda was filled with presentations on Java EE performance, Java EE 8 MVC, Payara Micro on Heroku, and introduction to Payara Server.
All speakers used Payara Server in their presentations and the BadassFish app server was one of the main discussion topics during the networking session after the meeting.

We hope that the next GlassFish User Group Japan event will be just as busy, and we look forward to seeing more Payara Server and Payara Micro presentations!
